Restoration in the test mode

Test mode restoration is convenient when you need to restore a backup temporarily (for instance, to view certain information) and then delete the files.

Test mode restoration goes as follows:

backup restoration to the test directory
deleting all files in the test directory on closing Manager

Every other test restoration will delete all files in the test directory. On starting and closing Manager you will be prompted to delete all files in the test directory if they exist.

Test directory is specified on the "Manager Options" tab of the Global options ("Tools - Options" menu).

To perform test restoration:

start Manager;
select the section in the section pane;
select the backup in the backup pane;
select "Backups - Extract in test mode" command.
